New Rule Introduced By the UK Government for the MOT

Uploading The Photo Which Is Clicked

Yes, the remaining process of testing can be done through a computer, but the photo will only be considered valid if it is taken with a phone or a tablet. You cannot take one with your computer’s web cam.   

After taking the photo, you will be required to upload it on MTS as the photo can only be captured by that. This means if you are thinking that you will use an old photo and upload it on the portal, then this will not work. The photo should be captured on the MTS at the time of testing. The photo can only be clicked after you have entered the vehicle identification number or its registration number. The system will also provide you with all the instructions on what type of photo should you capture and upload.
